21st Century After School Program
Federal grants provided by the 21st Century Community Learning Centers allow community organizations, such as schools, to offer students a host of diverse educational and wellness opportunities. Programs can take place after school, during non-school hours, and during times outside of the traditional academic year.
The overall aim of 21st Century Community Learning Centers programs is to supplement the content students receive inside the classroom so that they may perform better academically across the board. Above all, 21st Century Community Learning Centers programs strive to keep students engaged in their communities and invested in their futures at all times.
At Richard Preparatory Charter School, our 21st Century Community Learning Centers afterschool and summer programs are designed to create a safe, fun, and productive learning environment for all students. Through our culinary, STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math), and tutoring programs, we are able to equip students with the tools and skills required for growth and enrichment both inside and outside of the classroom.
Sign-ups for our programs will take place at the beginning of Quarters 1 and 3. We will also periodically host a series of festivities — including movie nights, dances, and community events — for family and friends to enjoy as well.
